About Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley

Our Mission

Protecting Children, Preparing Responders, Education Communities…

Our Vision

To provide for the missing and those who seek them through effective notification, response, education and family services

Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley (AANBV) was formed in 2003 as an oversight committee for regional Amber Alert notification efforts and in 2009 we obtained State of Texas recognition as a nonprofit organization.  In 2017 we obtained Federal Tax-Exempt Status (501 c 3) and in the fall of 2020 we began to offer full time services.

AANBV will work with regional law enforcement and family members of the missing on any missing person incident, even if the circumstances do not qualify for an Amber Alert.  We require official police report to have been filed with the appropriate local law enforcement agency and that the missing child or adult be entered into the the Texas Crime Information Center (TCIC) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) which allows law enforcement across the country to know if the person they are encountering is listed as a missing person.
